WHAT IS FABBRITORY?
Fabbritory is a collaborative small-scale workshop and workspace where we educate and enable entrepreneurs and (future) makers of all kinds to imagine, design and create. By utilizing different tools and machines of conventional and digital fabrication, we are determined to empower individuals and new businesses to create personalized and unique products for their needs through ways usually only available for mass production.
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU PROVIDE?
- Design - Consultation, Research and Development, Ideation and Primitive concept models.
- Digital Illustration and Modelling - Creation of 2D & 3D computer-aided designs (CAD)
- Prototyping - Pre-production sample suitable for business presentation and as manufacturer's reference
- Fabrication - Production of end-user product(s) from 1 - 300 units.* *depending on the type of product.

Tuesday - Friday : 11am - 7pm
Saturday : 9am - 6pm

ARE YOU OPEN TO WALK IN CUSTOMERS?
We definitely appreciate appointments be arranged beforehand. Even though we look like a shop, we are also an office and a workshop with projects constantly running. It will be best if we can properly include an appointment with you in our work schedule so that our attention is fully on you =)
WHAT MACHINES DO FABBRITORY HAVE?
1. FDM 3D Printing Machines;
- ULTIMAKER with maximum print volume of 215mm(w) x 215mm(l) x 200mm(h)
2. FORMECH Thermoforming machine with forming volume of 480mm(w) x 430mm(l) x 185mm(h)
3. EPILOG 60watt CO2 Laser Engraving Machine with laser area of 600mm(w) x 450mm(l) x 216mm(h)
4. AC TECH CNC ROUTER with cutting area of 1219mm(w) x 2438mm(l)
STANDARD LEAD-TIME FOR PROJECTS?
Every project we work on is unique. Precise lead-time can only be given once we know exactly what we are working on. But just as a rough guide, for fabrication only (not including design / 3D model/cast), the minimum lead time is:
3D-printer - 3 days
Laser projects - 3 days
CNC projects - 5 days
Multi-machine projects - 7 days
Manual fabrication projects - 7 days
WHAT ABOUT URGENT PROJECTS?
We can prioritize a project, but with a fee. This is because we are adding your project to existing projects, which means, we would need to work extra hard and the workshop will be open extra hours.
PRICING FOR MACHINE USAGE?
We charge based on the time it takes for the machine to complete a job, except for thermoforming projects. This is why (if the project requires digital fabrication), why we will always ask first if there is a file ready for us. Below is the rate:
Thermoformer - RM10.00/pull-down
3D Printer - RM0.50 to RM0.70/min
Laser Machine - RM1.50/min
CNC Router - RM5.00/min
IS THERE A MINIMUM OR MAXIMUM QUANTITY?
Fabbritory is a company that focuses on a low-mass production like one-offs, limited editions, prototypes etc. Creating 1 unit is not a problem for us but it must be understood that the cost is more that the standard price
WHAT FORMAT SHOULD MY FILE BE?
We accept most general formats for 2D and 3D but for smooth and faster process, we prefer .Ai/.dwg for 2D & .STL/.OBJ for 3D files.
WHAT MATERIAL DO YOU SUPPLY?
We usually have acrylic, thermoplastic, MDF, plywood in stock but we order special materials like cork, solid wood etc. when they are needed for projects.
PRICING FOR MATERIALS?
Please inquire about the specific material via this website or email, the price will be given then.
CAN WE USE OUR OWN MATERIAL?
Yes, you may use your own material, but, we will need to do test(s) to make sure it is suitable for the project or for our machines. Therefore, we require extra material for testing.
DO YOU DO DELIVERY?
No, we don't, unless a special agreement for that project is agreed upon.
DO YOU ORGANIZE WORKSHOPS?
Occasionally! Our workshops are small (5-10pax) depending on what kind of workshops they are.

DO YOU DO INSTALLATIONS?
It depends on the project. but in general we don't do installations.
